His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha as well as members of the Royal Family, the Government and people of Brunei Darussalam have consented to send messages of condolences to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and to His Excellency The Right Honourable Boris Johnson MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh on Friday, the 9th of April, 2021. 

In the message, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha and members of the Royal Family as well as the Government and people of Brunei Darussalam expressed their utmost profound and deepest sympathy on the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. 

His Majesty remembered his last meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Philip during Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second Jubilee Monarch's Lunch at Windsor Castle in 2012 where His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha much appreciated the warm and close friendship and rapport with His Royal Highness and will always treasure the meetings and conversations they had with him. 

His Royal Highness Prince Philip will be fondly remembered through his work that has indeed touched many lives, particularly the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award that has inspired many youth around the world, including Brunei Darussalam. 

In ending the message, once again His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha and members of the royal family as well as the Government and people of Brunei Darussalam extended their deepest condolences to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second and to all members of the royal family at this time of great personal loss and mourning.
