PENGIRAN HAJAH SITI NIRMALA BINTI PENGIRAN MOHAMMADDEPUTY PERMANENT SECRETARYECONOMY AND FINANCE
Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad was appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Economy and Finance) at the Prime Minister’s Office on the 19th April 2017. She was previously appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Performance & Compliance) at the Ministry of Finance since the 12th November 2015.She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Property Valuation and Finance in 1994 from City University, London and was awarded Master of Science degree in International Economics, Banking and Finance from University of Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom in 2006.Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala began her service with the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in 1994 and has held various positions in the Public Sector. These include Economic Officer (1994), Senior Economic Officer (2005), Assistant Director of Planning (2008) and Acting Director of Planning (2010) at the Department of Economic Planning and Development, Prime Minister’s Office; and Director of Budget at the Ministry of Finance (2011-2015). She is married with five children.
The Prime Minister’s Office was formed on the 1st of January, 1984, the day Brunei Darussalam regained its independence. It has since been led by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, as Prime Minister.
