Banquet in conjunction with Royal Birthday Celebration

​The 78th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was further enlivened with a Banquet. His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam graced the ceremony which took place on 27th July night, at the Banquet Hall, Istana Nurul Iman.

 

In attendance were His Majesty's sons, brothers, daughters and sisters.

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul 'Adawiyyah;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah;

 

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah;

 

- Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador At-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; 

 

- And, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam; as well as other members of the Royal Family.

 

Doa selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

 

 Attended by some four thousand security and uniformed officers and personnel as well as members of uniformed public organisations, the Banquet acts as an appreciation of their role and contributions for the nation's safety and well-being.

 

His Majesty mingled with the guests. Accompanying His Majesty were, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

 

For more than 6 decades, the Royal Brunei Armed Force, RBAF continued to develop rapidly and the foresightedness towards the future of the country's defence and security. As the oldest security force, the Royal Brunei Police Force, RBPF continues to be committed in carrying out policing duties in the era of globalisation. Uniformed government agencies play an important role in together ensuring peace, stability and the citizens' social security.

 

In line with the youth's role and responsibility, they are given opportunities to act as drivers of change. Progressive youths can help strengthen national defence in accordance to the establishment of the National Service Programme, PKBN.

 

Under the Monarch's wise leadership, the country continues to foster close cooperation with the Royal Gurkha Rifles in maintaining the country's well-being.

 

The Banquet is hoped to further enhance the relevant officers and personnel's motivation to continue to serve the country.
