Patience and Tawakkal will produce a pious community overflowing with goodness to achieve a good life in this world and a noble place in the hereafter. It is among the contents of a Special Talk titled, ''Sabar dan Tawakal Pemangkin Ummah Bertaqwa'' or 'Patience and Tawakal, the Catalyst of the Pious Ummah' in conjunction with the Hijrah New Year Celebration organised by the Prime Minister's Office and the Departments under it. Jointly organised with the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the ceremony was held yesterday afternoon at the Banquet Hall, Prime Minister's Office Building.
Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister At The Prime Minister's Office. The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the reading of Al-Quran verses in Murattal. The ceremony was also highlighted with a mass recitation of Selawat Tafrijiyyah.
A similar ceremony was held by the Ministry of Home Affairs and its departments. Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs. The ceremony organised by the Fire and Rescue Department included a Special Talk themed, 'Bersabar, Beriktiar, Bertawakkal and Berdoa Menghadapi Ujian: Memacu Wawasan Negara".
The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism also held such a ceremony. Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. The ceremony began with the reading of Doa Selamat and continued with a special talk on Hijrah titled 'Hakikat Hijrah'.
