State Funeral

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, attended the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, which was held at Westminster Abbey in London. Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. 

The State Funeral was also attended by members of Royal Families; Heads of State and guests from across the world. 

Prior to the State Funeral, the coffin of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second was borne in a procession on the State Gun Carriage of the Royal Navy from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, accompanied by His Majesty King Charles the Third as well as a cortege by members of the British Royal Family and the King's Household. This was followed with the State Funeral Service. At the end of the State Funeral, "The Last Post" was then played followed with a two-minute silence in Westminster Abbey and throughout the United Kingdom realm. The State Funeral ended with the country's national anthem. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second was then laid to rest at St. George's Chapel in Windsor. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second passed away at the age of 96. Her reign as the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland began on the 6th of February 1952 until 8th of September 2022, a reign of more than 70 years.
