Departs Bangkok

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam left Bangkok, Thailand today after attending the 2022 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, AELM. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. 

Prior to departure, Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti. 

Present at Don Mueang Air Terminal to bid farewell to His Majesty was His Excellency Prawit Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand. Also present was His Excellency Pengiran Haji Sahari bin Pengiran Haji Salleh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to Thailand. 

At the AELM, His Majesty attended the Retreat Sessions One and Two of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting 2022, APEC Leaders' Informal Dialogue with Guests; held a Bilateral Meeting with His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as a Bilateral Meeting with His Excellency the President of the People's Republic of China. His Majesty also attended a Gala Dinner welcoming the APEC Economic Leaders to the 29th AELM. His Majesty also attended the Royal Audience with Their Majesties the King of the Kingdom of Thailand and Queen.
