The launch of the e-Government 2009 Exhibition at The Mall in Gadong yesterday marked another milestone achievement for the government, where 16 government and non-government booths are currently displaying the latest technologies and ICT-related services.The expo is held in conjunction with the recent launch of the Brunei e-Government Strategic Plan.Government officials and members of the public turned up at The Mall to witness the launching of the expo by Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office Dato Seri Paduka Hj Eussoff Agaki Hj Ismail.The exhibition aims to enhance public awareness and involve relevant stakeholders in the National e-Government Plan.Scheduled to be held until June 14, the inaugural exhibition is one of the initiatives by the Prime Minister's Office to showcase e- Government as the main mover in providing services to its customers. The Prime Minister’s Office was formed on the 1st of January, 1984, the day Brunei Darussalam regained its independence.
