Mohd Riza Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos was appointed as Permanent Secretary (Media and Cabinet) at the Prime Minister’s Office in August 2016. 

Prior to his appointment, he served as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate and Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office (Nov 2015 – Aug 2016); Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communication (June 2014 – Nov 2015); and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Entrepreneurship and Industry Development) at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (Sep 2010 – June 2014). 

He has also served as Director of Land Transport Department and was in the Brunei Administrative Services. He started his career as a Telecommunication Engineer in 1990. 

He graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from Brighton Polytechnic, United Kingdom. He obtained his Master of Science (Modern Electronics) from Nottingham University, United Kingdom in 1990; and a Master of Business Administration from University of Brunei Darussalam in 2005.
