In conjunction with the 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration, the Prime Minister’s Office held a Tahlil Ceremony this afternoon at the Royal Mausoleum, Jalan Tutong.
The ceremony was held in honour of the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman as well as His Majesty’s late son, Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim.
Present at the ceremony was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II as the Co-Adviser of the High-Level Committee for the 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration, 2026.
The Tahlil recitation was led by Zone 5 Monitoring Officer, Brunei-Muara District Mosques, Yang Mulia Awang Zulhazmi bin Salleh.
Also in attendance were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Civil Service Governance); and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Security and Law) as Co-Chairs of the High-Level Committee for the 33rd Civil Service Day Celebration, 2026.
The ceremony was also attended by Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, heads of departments, senior officers, and civil servants from various government agencies.
