Hajah Aldila binti Haji Mohamad Salleh was appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Security and Law), Prime Minister’s Office effective 1st July 2026.

She began her civil service career as a legal counsel at the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC), Prime Minister’s Office in September 1994 after having graduated from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) in June 1993 and thereafter called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1994. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Criminal Law, Criminology and Criminal Justice (LLM) from King’s College, University of London in 2009. For nearly 24 years of service at AGC, Hajah Aldila specialized in Criminal Justice and Prosecution handling various challenging and high profile cases.

In August 2018, Hajah Aldila was transferred to the Ministry of Development (MOD) as a Senior Special Duties Officer and was later promoted and appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate and Law) at the same Ministry on 5 April 2021. In this role, she provided comprehensive legal advice across a broad range of matters, supporting effective governance, regulatory compliance and sound decision-making. During her tenure at MOD, she significantly contributed to the strengthening of regulatory enforcement, was instrumental in the development and implementation of land-related policies and legislation, and also advised on consultancy, construction and services contracts for government projects.
