Pg Hjh Adimasyaton Binti Pg Hj Omar Ali graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Teesside, United Kingdom. She started her career in Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad (BLNG) as a Graduate Technologist in 1995. She has over 30 years of experience in the Energy Industry mainly in the Gas Processing and Downstream sector including a 3-year posting with Shell Global Solutions International (SGSI), Malaysia and a 3-year secondment in the Ministry of Energy & Industry. She also spent more than 6 years in the Petroleum Authority Brunei Darussalam.

At Brunei LNG and Brunei Shell Refinery (BSR), Pg Hjh has held senior roles in both technical services, strategic planning and project development. In 2017, Pg Hjh was seconded to the government as Special Project Officer and later leading the Energy Downstream Business unit at the Department of Energy, Prime Minister Office. Pg Hjh joined the newly formed Petroleum Authority Brunei Darussalam in early 2020 and later assumed the Downstream Director role. In 2023, she was also appointed as one of the board members of BSJV companies and BGC Sdn Bhd.

By command of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, she was appointed as the Permanent Secretary (Energy, Upstream & Downstream) at the Prime Minister’s Office on 4th August 2026.
