
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this morning chaired the 420th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP) and the 198th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Marketing Sendirian Berhad (BSM) for the Third Quarter of the year 2026. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office building.
Upon arrival, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd. Hanifah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Energy, Upstream and Downstream) and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister of Finance II, in their capacity as members of the BSP and BSM Board of Directors.
At the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam delivered a closing titah. His Majesty emphasised the importance of sustaining strong performance and maintaining a continued focus on improvement to support the long-term objectives of the companies.
His Majesty highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong focus on safety, operational and financial performance, while continuing to strengthen the capabilities and resilience required to navigate an evolving business environment.
His Majesty also emphasized the importance of closer collaboration within and across the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies, including leveraging collective capabilities, resources and expertise to improve efficiency, strengthen operational resilience and create greater value across the portfolio.
The meetings also deliberated on key matters relating to the performance and future priorities of BSP and BSM, including workforce development and business planning.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders including Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Shell plc, as well as members of the respective Management from BSP and BSM.
This marks the end of the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies’ Board Meetings for the Third Quarter of 2026.
