Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos was appointed as Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office on 7th June 2022. 

 

Prior to his appointment, he served as Permanent Secretary [Civil Service, Welfare, International And Media] [May 2020 - Jun 2022]; Permanent Secretary [Media and Cabinet] at the Prime Minister’s Office [August 2016 – April 2020]; Deputy Permanent Secretary [Corporate and Governance] at the Prime Minister’s Office [November 2015 – August 2016]; Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communication [June 2014 – November 2015]; and Deputy Permanent Secretary [Entrepreneurship and Industry Development] at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources [September 2010 – June 2014]. 

He has also served as Director of Land Transport Department and was in the Brunei Administrative Services. He started his career as a Telecommunication Engineer in 1990. 

He graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from Brighton Polytechnic, United Kingdom. He obtained his Master of Science [Modern Electronics] from Nottingham University, United Kingdom in 1990; and a Master of Business Administration from University of Brunei Darussalam in 2005.
