Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad was appointed as Permanent Secretary (Vision, Finance and Cabinet), Prime Minister’s Office starting 2nd May 2020.

Prior to this, she has held the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary (Economics and Finance), Prime Minister’s Office (April 2017 - May 2020), and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Performance and Compliance), Ministry of Finance (November 2015 - April 2017).

Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala began her service with the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in 1994 and has held various positions in the Public Sector. These include Economic Officer (1994), Senior Economic Officer (2005), Assistant Director of Planning (2008) and Acting Director of Planning (2010) at the Department of Economic Planning and Development, Prime Minister’s Office; and Director of Budget at the Ministry of Finance (2011-2015).

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Property Valuation and Finance in 1994 from City University, London, and was awarded Master of Science in International Economics, Banking and Finance from University of Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom in 2006.
