His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to send a message of congratulations to The Right Honourable Sir Keir Starmer MP on the occasion of his appointment as the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In the message, His Majesty wishes The Right Honourable Sir Keir Starmer MP much success and expressed confidence that under his leadership, the United Kingdom will continue to achieve greater heights of progress and prosperity.
His Majesty also stated that the United Kingdom is a trusted partner. This year, the two countries celebrate its 40th Anniversary of diplomatic relations signifying an important milestone in the longstanding relationship shared between both nations. The lasting relationship shared by both countries continues through excellent partnership in areas of mutual interest and close cooperation in the ASEAN-UK Dialogue Relations as well as the Commonwealth.
Furthermore, His Majesty looks forward to meeting The Right Honourable Sir Keir Starmer MP to further deepen both personal friendship and much-valued relations for the mutual benefit of both people and countries.
In ending the message, His Majesty wishes for The Right Honourable Sir Keir Starmer's continued good health and happiness.
