His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah underlines Brunei Darussalam's commitment to expanding collaboration with the Republic of India into new areas such as ICT, renewable energy, agriculture and the halal industry. His Majesty made the titah at the Official Luncheon in conjunction with the Official Visit of His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam. In the titah, His Majesty says the Official Visit of His Excellency coincides with the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both countries, highlighting the commitment to strengthening important partnership. Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of India, His Majesty adds, share deep-rooted friendship and strong people-to-people ties. Earlier, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi at Cheradi Laila Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman.
Present at the Audience Ceremony were members of the Royal Family. Also in attendance were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health as Minister-in-Attendance; and the official delegation of the Republic of India.
