His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office visited the Jurong Town Corporation, JTC Summit, Republic of Singapore, 12th September morning. Established on 1st of June, 1968, JTC Corporation, JTC, is a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Republic of Singapore, MTI which supports the growth of new industries and enterprises in Singapore. As the government agency responsible for Singapore's industrial progress, JTC places emphasis on developing resilient industries. His Royal Highness was greeted upon arrival by His Excellency Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore and Minister for Trade and Industry.
His Royal Highness proceeded to the Exhibition Board on Punggol Digital District for a briefing on Punggol Digital District, followed by a demonstration of the facial payment system and the Open Digital Platform at JTC Summit Welcoming Screen. The presentations, among others, explained on how Punggol Digital District, PDD combines the Singapore Institute of Technology, SIT campus and JTC's Business Park to create Singapore's first smart district as well as supporting the key digital economy sectors and serve as a green, inclusive lifestyle hub. His Royal Highness toured 'The Makerspace' before attending a briefing focusing on JTC's digitalization and sustainability initiatives, particularly the development of the Punggol Digital District. Before concluding the visit, His Royal Highness participated in a group photograph session.
