Following the Closing Ceremony, His Majesty left Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic after attending the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. Prior to departure, Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Present at Wattay International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty was His Excellency Professor Doctor Linkham Douangsavanh, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Also present was His Excellency Haji Roslan bin Haji Yaacub, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
