His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah underlines the importance for all Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies to uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance as well as to foster a culture of integrity across all levels of the organisations. His Majesty also reflects on the challenges, achievements and invaluable learning made across the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies throughout 2024, encouraging a mindset of collaboration and urgency across stakeholders and Management. His Majesty made the titah while chairing the 224th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad, BLNG, and the 110th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Gas Carriers Sendirian Berhad, BGC for the Fourth Quarter of the year 2024. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's Office building.
Upon arrival, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah Deputy Minister for Energy at the Prime Minister's Office, in their capacity as members of the BLNG and BGC Board of Directors. The meeting commenced with a recitation of Doa, and was attended by key stakeholders. This includes Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty, Shell plc, Mitsubishi Corporation, as well as members of the respective Management from BLNG and BGC. The meeting addressed critical areas such as operational performance, safety, financial, and manpower development, while also charting future strategic direction for both BLNG and BGC. His Majesty also cut an anniversary cake to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of BLNG as the first company in the Western Pacific to commence large-scale liquefied natural gas production.
