The development of the Wawasan Brunei 2035, the alignment and coordination of Government policies through the 'Manpower Blueprint', 'Social Blueprint' and 'Economic Blueprint' are aligned with the Wawasan Brunei 2035 Framework and steps towards increasing the employment rate among local people were among the matters shared by the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence during the Discussion Session of the Prime Minister's Office and the Departments under it with Members of the Legislative Council. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, then shared on the transformation and improvement initiatives of the Public Service including efforts to improve the effectiveness of service delivery and human resource management. The session took place at the Prime Minister's Office.

 

The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence also touched on the preparation of the 'Social Blueprint' in the Government's ongoing efforts to achieve the second goal of Wawasan Brunei through the 'Whole of Government' and 'Whole of Nation' approaches. Also shared were matters in the area of security, continuous efforts in combating crime, as well as the achievements of the Attorney General's Office and the courts in 2024.

 

Meanwhile, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance And Economy reported positive progress in the energy sector in 2024, the country's success in reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions, the National Adaptation Plan and the establishment of the ASEAN Centre for Climate Change. The Members of the Legislative Council delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Awang Amran bin Haji Maidin.
