After performing the Sunat Aidiladha prayer, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince proceeded to the Sunat or commendable Rites of Sacrifice for His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam as well as members of the Royal Family in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha. 206 sacrificial animals, 192 cows and 14 goats were sacrificed. Two goats were sacrificed at the function, which took place at the compound of Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.
Part of the sacrificial meat were distributed to 15 thousand and 54 recipients comprising the poor and destitute asnaf and their dependents throughout the country. Also in attendance was His Royal Highness' brother; His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Advisors and Co-Chairmen of the ceremony's Executive Committee.
His Royal Highness slaughtered His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's sacrificial animal. Followed by His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik.
