2nd IMCTC Defense Ministers Council

​The Second Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, IMCTC, Defense Ministers Council was held on 3rd February, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 

Representing the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to the meeting was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. 

The meeting was officiated and chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Defense Minister of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Among the agendas that were discussed during the meeting were strategies and key achievements of IMCTC, as well as key initiatives set-forth by IMCTC's Member States on countering terrorism. 

The Second Meeting was attended by 42 Member States and 3 observer countries. The Second IMCTC Defense Ministers Council was convened prior to The Second Edition of World Defense Show, which is scheduled from 4th to 8th February 2024 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

On the side-lines, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence had a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Doctor Khaled bin Hussein Al-Biyari, Saudi Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs. During the bilateral meeting, Yang Berhormat conveyed His Majesty's gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for the invitation to attend the meeting, and conveyed His Majesty's congratulatory message to His Royal Highness on the successful conduct of the meeting. In addition, both sides also discussed issues pertaining to regional and global terrorism challenges. Finally, both sides also expressed strong commitment towards further strengthening and enhancing bilateral defence and military cooperation between the two countries.
