There are ongoing efforts to maximise employment opportunities via the Bruneianisation Directive and business and enterprise opportunities for locals via the Local Business Development Directive. The matter was explained by the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence during the Muzakarah Session between the Prime Minister’s Office and the departments under it and Members of the Legislative Council.
Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof also touched on the reform and improvement initiatives related to policies and regulations in the Civil Service. Also present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. The delegation from the Legislative Council was led by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Salleh Bostaman bin Haji Zainal Abidin.
