His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience His Excellency Masagos Zulkifli bin Masagos Mohamad, Minister for Social and Family Development, Second Minister for Health and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, which took place at Istana Nurul Iman, 19th March afternoon. Accompanying His Excellency were His Excellency Laurence Bay, High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam; and Kadir Maideen, Chief Executive of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore, MUIS. Also present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
His Excellency is in the country for a three-day working visit on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadhan from the 18th of March. During the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty exchanged views with His Excellency Masagos Zulkifli on matters of mutual importance and the exploration of opportunities for cooperation, specifically in empowering the youth; as well as on international humanitarian aid among others, the delivery of humanitarian aid in the form of food packages via airdrop - a recent cooperation effort by the Government of His Majesty and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. His Excellency also shared the Republic of Singapore's previous experience in delivering aid to Palestine.
