Personal Gifts Presentation Ceremony

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to bestow his personal gifts once again, to a total of 18,010 recipients nationwide comprising Special Needs, Orphans, the Poor and Recipients of Monthly Welfare Assistance in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration this year. 

The distribution of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's personal gifts is the 15th time it has been organised aimed at elevating the burden of certain groups in the country. 

The ceremony began with the Distribution of the Personal Gifts by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's sons, as personal representatives of His Majesty, followed by the simultaneous distribution at several designated distribution centres in all the four districts. 

Gracing the presentation ceremony of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Personal Gifts for Brunei-Muara District at Istana Nurul Iman as His Majesty's personal representative was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. 

The arrival of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince at the Reception Hall of Istana Nurul Iman was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. 

The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar. 

At the ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah consented to present the Personal Gifts of His Majesty to one thousand recipients from Brunei Muara District.
